COVID-19 Preparedness and Response Plan Jan 2021

The revised CPRP is a plan prepared by the Humanitarian Country Team and the clusters working in collaboration with, and support to, the Government of Nepal. Given the continuous multi-dimensional impact of COVID-19, the revised CPRP still includes a significant health component, but also highlights needs related to coordination planning and monitoring, protection, risk communication and community engagement, food security, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), nutrition, education, shelter/CCCM, early recovery, and logistics.

UN Framework for Responding to the Socio-Economic Impacts of COVID19 in Nepal

The proposed Framework builds on short-term recovery and resilience activities managed by the humanitarian country team. Its preparation is informed by analysis of data and evidence and an understanding of the specific impacts of the pandemic in the Nepal context. In addition to the collection of data through assessments and surveys, the United Nations consulted 35 groups, including more than 1,000 people representing different segments of the population and constituency groups.

Gender Equality Update-25: COVID-19 and Harmful Practices in Nepal

The purpose of the Gender Equality Update # 25 is to facilitate a multi-level and multi-sectoral approach through recommendations for humanitarian and development actors responding to COVID-19 to address harmful practices specific to Nepal. 
This Gender Equality Update was developed on behalf of the United Nations Harmful Practices Working Group (HPWG).

UN Framework for Responding to the Socio-Economic Impacts of COVID-19 in Nepal , 15 Sep 2020

Objectives of the framework

  • To design the UN approach to socioeconomic response and recovery over the next 12-18 months, concurrent to and beyond emergency support
  • To generate collective intelligence, data, and information that informs the UN system to work in support of Nepal’s SER response to COVID-19
  • To serve as an organizing basis for UNCT, to repurpose its ongoing work in Nepal
  • To serve as a tool to mobilize additional resources in support of SER response for Nepal

SDG Baseline Report of Karnali Province

Karnali provincial government has developed its approach paper for its first five year plan, and has set its priorities for the period. The priorities include infrastructure, social development among others. Based on these priorities, the development ideas, targets, purposes, strategies, action points and expected results ae set in line with the SDGs. This SDG Baseline Report will help achieve the targets, purposes, strategies, and actions of Karnali Province
