The Post-Disaster Needs Assessment full report is now available. Spanning just one month, the assessment was a massive exercise led by the National Planning Commission of the Government of Nepal, involving 23 sector teams and over 250 experts from the Government and development partner agencies. The result is a comprehensive detailed assessment and analysis of the damages and losses caused by the April earthquake and powerful aftershocks, and the suggested strategies for building back better. With a detailed tally of damages and losses broken down by sector, the Post-Disaster Needs Assessment is the foundation of data-driven analysis by which the recovery and reconstruction of Nepal can take place.
