The IOM Camp Coordination and Camp Management (CCCM) site planning team assessed Bhimtar site on July 29th and found serious need for support. The biggest issue found was that the internal road filled up with garbage and rainwater.
This invited an abundance of insects and terrible smells. The site was far from minimum hygienic standards and was considered not safe for people, especially children.
In responding to the situation, IOM joined hands with local volunteers from the community and conducted improvements.
