The density of events – indicated by shading on the map – represents the total number of bandhs / blockades that have been observed, as reported to RCHCO and the UN Department of Safety and Security. These include transportation blockades, and closures of markets, businesses and customs offices
Source/Methodolgy: This map has been put together with information compiled from a variety of sources including national media and field reports of UN agencies, donors and NGOs. Efforts have been made to verify information presented here, though this has not always been possible.
