Introduction

The Harmonized Approach to Cash Transfers (HACT) to Implementing Partners was launched in April 2005. The HACT introduces a new way of managing the process of transferring cash to Implementing Partners (IPs). HACT Implementation in Nepal

Three ExCom agencies (UNDP, UNFPA and UNICEF) are HACT compliant members in Nepal. Joint efforts of the three agencies have achieved the following results so far.

Macro assessment Nepal’s Public Financial Management was completed in Dec 2007 which was endorsed by the Government of Nepal (GoN) on 10 June, 2008.
Micro Assessment of the 75 implementing partners, including the government and non-government entities was completed in January, 2009. The Micro Assessment Reports have been shared with all implementing partners.
